The purpose of MCI RemoteExplorer was to design one application to retrieve pertinent information and export the result set in a format suitable for further analysis; instead of opening multiple utilities and snap-ins to achieve the desired results.

 

The result set can be exported to CSV, XML, Text, and Clipboard depending on the specific feature utilized.

 

MCI RemoteExplorer was designed to efficiently retrieve local and remote computers configuration and real-time diagnostic statistics.

 

This application utilizes optimized threading, parallelism, concurrency, memory cache, and asynchronous methods to achieve this efficiency.

 

MCI RemoteExplorer is query only and does not change any computer or server settings whatsoever.

 

Enterprise features include Active Directory, CM2K12, and App-V 4.6/5.0 for a corporate environment. The CM2K12 features allow you to query without using the CM console and presents the result set on one screen; whereas the CM console could require multiple screens and tabs to obtain this consolidated information.

 

I am an independent contractor and have been developing windows utilities for 30+ years in Assembler, C, C++, and C#.
